ICE

For Christmas we decided (because our apartment
was so small) that the gift to the boys would be to go somewhere
fun instead of trying to fit more toys into our apartment.
Wifey heard about ICE at Gaylord Hotels.
They have only a couple of hotels through out the country
and one of them is in Maryland.
We bought tickets and were excited to go check it out!!
We got there and they have you sit and
watch a movie about how it's all made.
The Gaylord company flies these guys in from
out of the country to make these ice sculptures at their hotels!
We watched the movie
then we got suited up in their blue jackets
that they provided and headed into the cold!
(The boys were already bundled up in their snow gear and
C was not happy about putting on another layer!)
It's a little dark but it's C and Daddy.

This year's theme was "Shrek the Halls"

Mommy and G

Fiona and her babies

CHEESE!!

Sitting in the "out house!"
(C was still a bit grumpy but he did warm up after a while!)

We are actually sad to say that
we did not plan things well enough
(or the cold could have been a factor too)
BUT
We started out taking pictures
with one cell phone and it's battery quickly died.
Then we moved onto the camera
and we only got about 3 pictures and
then the battery DIED as well!!
AND
we moved onto the last and final
camera we had on the other cell phone
and you can probably guess
that it's battery died TOO!!!
We were SOOO upset but we didn't know what to do!!
The boys had a BLAST
sliding down all the ice slides!!
C was hesitant at first but then
he and G couldn't get enough!!
It was hard to keep track of them!
The ice slides were SO slick and FAST!
We truly wish we could have taken video
but at least we have the memories of their excitement.
Luckily at the end we were happy
to find out that they offered a jump drive
with pictures of the sculptures for purchase!!
The following pictures are the pictures that
were on the jump drive that we purchased and were NOT taken by us!

Puss in Boots was located in the slide room!

At the very end
they had the Nativity scene!!
The true reason for the season.
It was SO nice to see this display
especially in this crazy world where everyone is fighting for
what they believe in!

Family Photo!
We were all SO bundled up
that we all look like the Stay puff marshmallow man!!!
The ice sculptures were TRULY amazing!
We all had a REALLY fun time.
If you have the opportunity take it and GO!
