Welcome to NOVA

So you thought losing our beautiful Sylvia would have been enough

upset for one day right!?!?!  

WRONG!!! 

After we got in LATE that night we all quickly went to bed

on our air mattresses. 

Hubby wakes up the next morning (less than 12 hours later) 

and....

Who's car is that you might ask....

It's the car of the lady who PLOWED right into Hubby on his way into work!! 

He didn't even make it out of the parking lot!!! 

She came FLYING around the bend of the parking lot of our apartment complex

 and plowed right into him.

Yeah she was THAT far into Hubby's lane there was literally no where for him to go!! 

The WORST part about the whole thing is she tried to blame it on Hubby!!!

We started getting notices from our insurance company saying 

things like they denied her claim until further investigation and such.

WHAT!?!? 

We quickly contacted our insurance company and explained

and then called her insurance company 

and then the fight began!!

It took FOREVER!!

She claimed it wasn't her fault and told some tale that

had half truths because apparently she was on her parent's plan still

and this was going to be her final offense before she would be dropped or something.

But Hubby THANKFULLY had the right mind to take pictures.

So with our pictures and a GoogleMaps/GoogleEarth  overhead picture and a diagram

the insurance agent sided with us but still had to deal with the girl and the girl's parents. 

Apparently, the agent is required to give so many notices for them to actually come forward with the truth 

but the driver wasn't budging even though the agent TOLD her there is evidence discrediting her story!!

The parents weren't budging either but 

we FINALLY got our claim and the insurance agent apologized several times for the long delay.

WELCOME to Northern Virginia/ DC!!!

What a welcome it was!!
