Our 1st Subway ride with our 1st Visitors

Just a week after we got there we had our very 1st Visitors!!
So we decided we had to head downtown to see the sights!
Which meant these guys would be on their 1st Subway ride!!
They sure do look like they are having fun!

We love being able to make memories with these little guys!

Our 1st stop was the Natural History Museum
He's being an elephant!

Our 1st visitors with the dinosaurs!
(The Ogden's)

Emma LOVES C!
She was following him around and helping him with everything.

The Beautiful Hope diamond!

One of the things we really wanted to see
was the New Butterfly exhibit there!

The boys watching the butterfly eat.

It rolls out it's long tongue to eat!!
It was so neat to be able to see them up close!!

G trying to "pick up" the butterfly.
You're not supposed to touch them or anything
but we told him if he left his hand there it might come and land
on his hand and that was okay.  He was very patiently waiting
but it never happened.

Then farther down the exhibit they actually have a
worker there with a paint brush that the kids can hold with a butterfly on it!

G's butterfly flew away before we could get a picture
but he was happy enough looking at C's.
It really is a neat experience!!

While Mommy was taking pictures
she didn't even notice she had a visitor!!

It then flew onto her hand!!
It truly is a very unique experience!!
If you're ever in D.C. we highly recommend it!!

Just a little break for gummies!

After some of the most over priced food we've ever eaten we headed out
into the beautiful sunny weather to walk along The Mall.
The Washington Monument
Sadly we didn't get to go up it because
of the mini earthquake they had there
and it's still being worked on.

Cheesing with daddy!

Daddy cheesing with his "mini me"
We stopped in the shade
to get a break from the sunny weather.
The kids played on this sculpture that is across the street from The Monument.

Next stop!
The kids were hot and getting wiped out
so we didn't really get any good family pictures with The White House

BUT you can see we were there!
We could tell we were heading to a bad place with
the kids! So we decided to cave in for more over priced treats!
G showing us his Batman ice cream.
Emma is clearly loving her snowcone.
She LOVED riding in our stroller even
though she had one of her own!  We didn't mind!

Two beautiful ladies posing with Rose.
On our way back a couple of the kids CRASHED
which was perfect for our visitors to have an evening out with free babysitters!

After the naps these guys had a BLAST
playing outside together!
The next day we went off to our new ward
and then we played games that night.
On Monday Hubby had to work and our visitors were
heading out of town but we stopped by the Temple and
the Visitor's Center before they left.
They got all dressed up in their Sunday clothes
but along the drive there poor little Caleb
threw up.  He wasn't feeling well.

But even though he wasn't feeling well we still got
some cute family pictures.

A few of our favorite pictures.

Checking out the newly updated
Visitor's Center.

We truly pray this is the picture everyday with
our Lord and Savior keeping a watchful eye over our precious little ones!
