Mommy had done some research and
there were a couple of cheap/free things to do
while we were in Long Beach.
One was to go to this Kite Museum.
They had you fill out this questionnaire for coupons to local places.

Then it was off to the beach to try and fly our kites!

The kites never really got that far in the air!
We kept the strings but scrapped the kites.
We will probably try and make our own kites
out of better material in hopes they will fly better.

Then if you didn't notice in some of the pictures above there
were cars and truck right out there on the beach!
During certain times of the year you can drive right out to the ocean!
Daddy wanted to give this a try!

(It was crazy! It should have been more fun but we
had stopped by the visitors center and they told us
of a number of vehicles that get stuck out there and
then you have to pay to get pulled out!
Next time maybe daddy will drive and mommy
can sit back and enjoy the ride!
