Vacation Day 3

Our last day and you'd think we would have slept in 

but NOPE daddy had more plans!! 

He wanted us to get up and get a free gift 

from the Tillamook Cheese factory

because it was cow appreciation day!! 

We left it to last minute to wake up this little 

snuggle buddies!! Is that really that comfortable!?!?

We got there and expected them to be passing out 

our free gifts!  But they had NO IDEA what we were talking about!!!

Daddy did some quick research on his phone 

and then showed it to one of the workers 

who then had to call someone about it!! 

So we toured the factory.

We sampled some "squeaky" cheese.

Watched the cheese getting packed up.

Watched some ice cream getting packaged up.

Played with some 

information games.

Then we went off to find out about our free gifts. 

And what did we get.... 

No not cute little cows like years before 

or anything that was talked about online.... 

we got PENCILS!!!! 

We got up SO EARLY to go and get PENCILS!! 

We felt jipped but we still made the best of it.

Do we see some road rage in our future.......?

This one could barely reach the wheel! 

We did however get some delicious ice cream!! 

At 8:30 in the morning!! 

We can say we've never done that before!! 

Tillamook ice cream is DELICIOUS and if 

you don't have it in your area then when you 

come visit us we will gladly get you some!

It didn't turn out to be quite what we expected 

but you live, you learn and you eat ICE CREAM!! 

(Even at 8:30 in the morning!!)

After this we headed on a way home! 

We went back to stop at a few gift 

shops at Cannons beach. 

We were there on Sunday and 

already mentioned we wanted 

keep the Sabbath day holy so 

we just stopped back there on our way back out of town.

We also stopped at a candy shop and got 

WAY too much candy!! 

The boys were sad we were heading back home 

they kept asking if we were going back to our "hotel home"

and we had to keep explaining that vacation was over. 

They told daddy that he need to take more days 

off of work so we can go on more and longer 

vacations!!

We grabbed a bite to eat and then 

daddy safely drove his napping family back home!! 

It wasn't very long but 

it was amazing and 

so relaxing to get away on a family vacation together! 

We love our little family and we hope to have more 

vacations in our future!
