Vacation Day 2 Part 1

We got to our "hotel" unloaded then went out for a bite to eat!
C slept all the way through dinner!
We made the decision to go last minute so it was
hard to find ANYTHING that had vacancy!
But daddy found this "motel" and mommy was
VERY skeptical but once we got there it wasn't really
a motel, it was more like little cottages that came fully furnished!
Where the boys slept at night

Mommy and Daddy's room

A kitchen and bathroom and laundry room!!
It was SMALL but somehow they were
able to fit SOO much into it and it worked!
We loved having a full kitchen to work with!

On our Anniversary we decided
to head off to see Haystack rock which is
located at Cannons Beach.

The boys with Haystack rock!

It's SO BIG!!
We parked and thought it was SO much
CLOSER than it was!!
Mommy took her time waddling all the way out to it!!
We went at Low tide so that
Daddy could show the boys the tide pools!

There were SO many starfish EVERYWHERE!

Our feet with the Starfish.

Posing with the starfish.

Daddy really liked the BRIGHT orange ones!

Family photo with a cave in Haystack rock
(Sadly we are washed out a little bit)

Looking up the coast.

Another tide pool.

A close up of the sea anemone

Mommy helping G touch a star fish FINALLY!

C had no problems again stepping up and poking the starfish.

Mommy and the boys with Haystack rock

We couldn't pass up taking a picture of the sign with our
Anniversary on it!!

Family Photo on our way back to
relax further along the beach.

Mommy stayed with the boys while
Daddy lovingly went back to the car
to get the dogs, our lunch, the beach toys,
AND a beach chair for mommy!!!
(He truly is amazingly loving of his family!)

The boys have ALWAYS loved the sand

and they still do!!

There's daddy!!!
G ran to help him like the big helper that he is!!
THANKS DADDY!!

Then it was time to fly some:

KITES!

We actually had 2!!
But while daddy was putting together
one of them the wind took a crucial part
to one of the kites and we couldn't find it!
So the boys settled on sharing!

Daddy again lovingly went to work for his boys

He walked all the way down to the water and
wet sand to fill up the buckets to bring them back for the boys.

Playing in the sand.

Then mommy realized it would take him
forever and the wet sand was heavy!

So mommy told them they should just walk
down to the water and build their
castle down there!

These guys stayed with mommy and relaxed on the beach!
These little four-legged members of
our family truly are very spoiled!!
They are more world travelers than some PEOPLE we know!!

The baby didn't mind chilling on the beach either!
(If you look REALLY far out there you can see the boys!)

The boys with their castle!

Then daddy got to digging to bury the boys!

It was about this time he realized
the sand was wet the deeper you go!
(Yup we forgot about that nice fact!)

Our little sand monkeys!

Just "belaxing" in the sand!

Then it was time for a lunch break!!
It is SO relaxing to eat lunch on the beautiful beach!

After lunch the boys wanted to fly the kites more:

First up was C

Then it was G's turn again.

Can you tell this is one proud Poppa
Who LOVES to spend time and
Make amazing fun memories with his boys!?!?

Well if you couldn't tell he is!!
He loves making memories and
experiencing things with his boys!
And they LOVE and ADORE him just as much!!

Mommy was getting cold on the beach so
we decided to pack up and head back.
It was So much fun but
very different from our beach vacations
on the east coast!!
The water is SOOO cold!!
Even though the sun was beating down
and it was a beautiful day the WIND was blowing
so hard that it made it a bit chilly to be on the beach!
Haystack rock in the distance.

Close up for the view point.

Another picture of the scenery along the coast line.

We went back to our "hotel home" and let the boys
take a nap.  Daddy took a nap too!!
Then we ate dinner right there in our "hotel home."
We picked up a pizza to bake in the oven
on Saturday so that we could still
keep the Sabbath day Holy.
