The Corbett side of the family were all getting together
at their usual summer spot and we debated LONG and HARD
about making the trip down but decided in the end that it would
just be too much for us.
Some of the factors =
Mommy being almost 8 full months pregnant
A 12 + hour drive of uncomfortableness for Mommy
Daddy starting his new job meant he could only spare 1 day off
(We are trying to save all of his days for when the baby comes)
Once we got there we'd be sleeping in a tent.
It was over our anniversary.
Even with all the factors it was REALLY hard
to say no to seeing and being with family BUT
we hope we can make it there soon!!
(After baby arrives healthy and everything!)
But we were still down because we wanted to go
but couldn't seem to make it work so we
decided to just take a weekend trip down to see the Oregon Coast!
Mommy and the boys have never been so Daddy
was really excited to show them one of his favorite places on Earth!
Daddy planned out the whole trip and off we went!
But we had to stop and get:
Krispy Kreme donuts!!!
They are delicious and we haven't
had any in a LONG TIME!
Plus they were having a big sale!!
We ate donuts the entire vacation!
PIT STOP!!
Daddy planned this stop because of
A HUGE bridge across the Washington/Oregon state lines!
It was really long!
Our boys getting out to stretch their legs!
As per tradition a picture with the state line!!
We need to organize all of the pictures we have at
all the state lines and make a big collage!
They were actually doing construction on the bridge
and a car had broke down so we sat on the bridge long enough
to see this big barge go under us while we were on the bridge!!
THEN we got STUCK in traffic!
YUCK!
There was an accident but it didn't look like anyone was hurt.
But by that time we were STARVING!
We quickly got a bite to eat and then went to check out
SEASIDE.
We went to check out the Seaside Aquarium
where they have baby seals and you can feed them!!
The boys feeding
the Seals!!
They both LOVED IT!!
Even though they were handling and
throwing freshly diced up FISH!!
Momma or Pappa
It was SUPER hard to get a picture of the babies
because they stayed close and didn't jump for the food.
This guy would actually slap the water impatiently
waiting for more food to be thrown!!
It was so FUN!
Check out all the LEGS on those
star creatures!!
Touching the starfish on the glass.
Making art
They both would have stayed there
making more and more if we would have let them!
You can touch any of the creatures in these buckets
Daddy actually got to HOLD a starfish!!
G was scared and didn't want to touch it.
Which is surprising for out usually adventurous boy!
C stepped right up!
Mommy holding a baby Sun star.
Checking out the fish
C is touching his
"favorite" purple starfish!
Daddy was pointing out the Sea anemone trying
to get G to touch it but he still wasn't having it!
On the fish cam!!!
Mommy actually noticed this while she was taking
a break and sitting down!
We first noticed this guy in the tank
and then we thought why do they have that fake fish in there?
Well like we said before mommy was taking a break and realized
it is actually a CAMERA!!
Like Father, Like Son
Touching his "favorite" one more time before we left!
We went to check out the beach just for a quick photo!
As we've said before in previous posts it's getting harder to do
especially since mommy can't pick up one of the boys while
being so pregnant!!
A nice lady came along and actually offered to take
the above picture for us!
She called it a Christmas Card photo
but our littlest peanut isn't in it but she still did a great job!
We kept driving up the coast and stopping
for picture of the Amazingly beautiful Oregon Coast.
Then Mommy told Daddy that we had better
head to our hotel because the boys were CRASHING!!
And a little less than a mile down the road they both were OUT!!
