Happy Independence DAY 2013

We were happy to see an "official" fireworks show
but we still needed to find something to do during the
day on the 4th.
So mommy did some research and found
a few events going on in the area.
So we decided to head to Lake Meridian
to check out the festivities!!

The boys playing "ball!"

They "won" their own balls!!
They were so excited!!

We discovered that they have an awesome
playground at this park as well!

Our little Americans!

Daddy wanted a picture of Mommy's toes!!
She paints them herself and even
though it's getting harder and harder to do while pregnant
she wanted to be festive for the holiday!

They also had a bunch of bouncy
houses there but you had to PAY for them!!
We were a little surprised by that but
luckily mommy actually had some cash
so that the boys could enjoy them!

After the bouncy houses we grabbed
a delicious elephant ear and sat down to
watch the boys play on the playground more!

This little spider monkey made mommy VERY NERVOUS!!
He climbed all the way to the tippy top of this climbing structure!
He had NO FEAR!!
Luckily, when he struggled to come
back down daddy was right there keeping a watchful eye!

Family Photo with
the lake on the 4th of July!

After that we headed home for
some good old BBQ!!
After that it was time for set somethings on FIRE!!

We start out small with some "Snaps"

And then some awesome smoke bombs!!

Then it was time to catch

some Parachuters!

Sparklers!

Our boys having a fun time!!

Watching

the show!!

Our neighbors setting off their fireworks!

More

Sparklers!

The "GRAND" Finale!!
(We didn't know the rules here but we do now so we plan to get bigger ones next year!)

One of the coolest things we discovered is the view across the valley!!

There were HUNDREDS of firework shows going off
and we could watch them all!!
(The picture really doesn't do it justice!)

The boys sitting out on the window of our
guest room enjoying the show!!

The boys stayed up REALLY late
but we had such a great time as a family!!
We are so PROUD to be Americans
and are truly blessed to live in this country
with all of the freedoms we have!!
We know there are a lot of things going
on with the difference in opinions and the failing economy,
but when it comes down to it we are still truly
blessed to be able to live with our family
and raise them how we feel is best!
