Fireworks in Seattle

The day before the 4th of July we were
off to find Fireworks!!
We weren't sure what the laws were
here about setting off fireworks but we still
wanted to get some small things to set off with the boys.
Hubby had heard of a place to go
well it turned out to be one of the WEIRDEST places we have ever been!
You pull up into a circle of set up
firework displays/stores and everyone is yelling at you to come
to their booth because they have the best deals.

It was like the "Roger's Sale" of fireworks!!!
We walked around and found the few things we wanted.
(One of the most uncomfortable things was the young kids at the booths selling!!
It made both of us very uncomfortable to be dealing with kids "working" so YOUNG!)

On our way back home we saw several groups of people
setting up along the road to our house.
After we saw the first couple of groups we
started to get intrigued so we pulled over to ask someone
what was going on.
They told us that it was going to be the
Emerald Downs firework show!!

We had been debating on what we were going to
do to see an actual fireworks "show" so this ended up being
PERFECT!

We quickly went home to grab
our chairs, hoodies, and blankets.
Mommy remembered an area of land
that had been cleared for a new housing community;
which is closer to our house so we went to set up there.

We saw others walking and making their way
to find the best spot for the show.  Being
new here we decided to go ahead and follow
another little group and we sat in the back and kept to ourselves.

The start of the show!!

Excited for the fireworks!!

It was a really nice view of the show
and the best part!?!?
No sitting in traffic!

Somehow both the boys migrated to
daddy's chair even though they both have their own!
Daddy didn't mind!

We watched the show and walked back to our car.
It was a really nice fireworks show
and even though it started so late
the boys watched them all and had a good time!

This is how we found this one when we got home!!
He fell asleep on daddy's shoulders while we were walking
back to the car and he didn't wake up until the next morning!!
He was tired but both the boys were troopers
and we had a really nice relaxing time watching the fireworks show.
