One of the reasons Wifey and the boys headed
out to Utah early was to go camping for the camping trip
they had already planned.
Rock jumping with some help from Aunt "Melny"
They loved adventuring around
and jumping on all the rocks!
"I'm the King of the rock!"
Our little boys
Cheese!
Cheese!
These guys LOVE their Aunts!
(They are a huge help for mommy too!!)
Wait for me!!
He was trying to catch up to Grandpa Corbett
Throwing rocks in the lake.
Sister time.
Pictures with the lake
And the surrounding trees and mountain
Then it was time for dinner!
Roasting Hotdogs!
This guy was SO proud of himself!
Then it was time for S'mores!
This guy was the Marshmallow giver-outer/keeper!
He held that bag for most of the night and
loved putting the marshmallow's on everyone's sticks!
Telling "stories" around the campfire.
This guy likes head lamps just like his big brother!!
Everyone was busy so we could only stay for one night.
The boys slept great!
We got up the next morning ate breakfast and then
started to take down to head out.
BUT the van wouldn't start!
We were up in the mountains where they
don't have an cell service or anything
so we decided to walk around asking
some of the other campers if any of them had any
mechanical experience.
We found a couple but they weren't able to help much.
So one of them hooked up their big truck to
tow the van out of the way so the Grandpa Corbett's
truck could get out.
Then Grandpa Corbett, Melanie and Hannah
drove away leaving everyone else on the mountain.
When they were heading out we heard/saw
several cop/emergency vehicles flying up the mountain.
We were concerned but we were unsure what was happening
until the camp manager came over to tell us
that apparently "a mad gunman was lose on the side of the mountain!"
With in a mile or so....
We occupied the boys with movies as
we tried to burn time for someone to come pick us up!
We were supposed to wait until a tow truck came and picked
up the van and then hopefully get a ride home.
Well luckily SAM (soon to be brother-in-law)
came to our RESCUE!!
It was so amazing to see him and to get off of that mountain!
It was a fun time camping with the boys
but we're not sure how we feel about not being able
to communicate with the outside world in times of need!
