Hubby made it from D.C. to Long Beach
just fine BUT the connecting flight
from Long Beach to Utah was not looking very good!
He also flew standby
(We were new to this process but when you fly standby
the employee that was letting us use their buddy passes
could watch the standby list and see what the likelihood of
us making it on the flights would be)
as well and the outlook of him making
the flight that night as well as the flights
for the next few days were NOT looking good!
So we bought his ticket to make the final connection
late that night!
Hubby flew in late that night
and then took Wifey back to the airport early
the next morning to fly out to visit a dear friend!
Wifey heard that her childhood best friend
was going to be moving out of California!
She always promised she'd visit
while her friend lived there so she took
the opportunity while we were in Utah!
(Cheaper/shorter flights)

was swimming in a private pool
in front of the Hollywood sign!!

It was a VERY short trip but
it was SOOO worth it!
The time in the sun, on the beach,
and spent with a true friend
truly re-energizes Wifey's spirit!
