New Glasses

What a special little guy he is!
We took him for his physical when school
started in the fall of 2013 and they said he
checked out fine in his hearing and sight.
So we were BEYOND shocked
when we got a letter home from school
saying they felt he needed to go to an eye doctor!
So off we went thinking it was probably
going to end up like his trip to the pediatrician's office.
WELL
We were WRONG! Apparently not only
did he need glasses but he REALLY needed glasses!
So we ordered his new glasses and
thought that was going to fix everything!
WELL
We were WRONG again!!
Mommy went with him to pick them up
and as soon as he put them on the
eye-glasses-fitter-oner dude
asked if he could see and if they fit okay.
G immediately said they were blurry!
Mommy not needing glasses
just assumed that the blurriness was
due to the need of his eyes adjusting to wearing glasses.
We sent the poor kid to school that same day he got his glasses
and also that same day mommy noticed him doing some odd behaviors!
For example; he walked up to the wall with his nose almost touching it
to "see" something!  Then he was sitting all the way in the kitchen to watch the TV!
She listened to her motherly instincts and told daddy.
Daddy did a few tests with him and we both decided he
definitely need to go back and be re-evaluated!
The next time we took him back in he saw
a different doctor who said the previous doctor
had his prescription ALL wrong!
We ordered more in the hopes of getting them
before we left for our trip to Ohio for the holidays.
They called the day we were leaving!
This time he put them on and it was a HUGE
improvement!  He loves them now and rarely
forgets to put them on and wear them.
They are Rafael from TMNT!
At first it took us a little while to get used
to him wearing them but now it's weird to see
him without them on!
He goes back in a year in hopes that
having and wearing his glasses will improve his prescription.
We love you handsome little man!
We are so grateful you can see better now.
