We were hoping to get out and celebrate Mother's Day
doing something fun around the area.
Several people told us about the zoo that is in Tacoma
so we took advantage of the BEAUTIFUL weather and went.
The cool thing they have there is a "hands-on" Aquarium.
Where you can touch the stingrays!
G was brave and thought they were slimy.
C was too scared so daddy took him off
while Mommy and G checked out the stingrays.
Checking out the sharks
C with his daddy.
The
Boys
Checking out the fish tanks
Close up of the Zebra Fish
They had all of these little sea creatures you can touch
Starfish
Sea cucumber
Different species of starfish.
Then we took a break for lunch.
We packed a lunch and ate outside of the aquarium.
Once everyone was done we headed off to check out the Tigers.
Too bad the Tiger wasn't looking for the photo!
I'ts a good family photo anyways!
Our little Spider Man
playing in his spiderweb!
He then changed into a hermit crab!
They both loved playing in the kid's area
but C was more interested in checking out the
small animals that they have there.
Then we went to see more water animals!
Checking out the walrus.
(We think that's what it was or was it a balooga whale....)
The zoo was a smaller zoo and not the best we've ever been too.
It might be better if we go at a better time when all the animals
aren't sleeping or being fed!
That will be after we go to the Zoo in downtown Seattle.
After that we decided to NOT pay for overpriced goodies
and we headed off for some ice cream!
They are
certainly enjoying themselves!!
