In a new area that we've never lived before
the only thing to do is go out adventuring!
One night we wanted something sweet
They are super cute Grecians!
Then one day we just went to check out the toy Store!
Why not!?!?
After a few days stuck inside the apartment
Mommy decided to get brave and head out
on the Subway to the National Zoo all by herself with the boys!
We saw elephants!!

G wanted a picture with this DK
The Tiger!
Wifey didn't realize the camera was pretty much dead
So she took pictures with her phone
Until her phone died too!!
She didn't get very many pictures from that zoo visit
but she got what the battery lives would let!
G got a Panda Bear
and has loved him ever since!
(Even if daddy did lose the "real" panda one time at the mall and we had to replace him!)
Even though mommy was brave enough to make it there
things took longer than expected so
daddy came to our rescue to help us make it home during rush hour.
With the Huge Lion outside the National Zoo.
We made it home and we made a mental note to not go back
until all the construction was done and when it wasn't SO HOT!!
Just FYI the National Zoo is awesome but it is laid out on a steep hill!
Our next adventure was to our pool at our apartment.
They sure do look like they fit right in!

We used the pool many times over the HOT summer.
Even though we never saw our apartment before we moved in
and when we drove around we didn't actually see this part of the complex
either. We were blessed to be put in an apartment that is directly
across from the sand volleyball court and the fenced in basketball court.
The boys LOVED playing outside!

Right next to the volleyball court was a nice hill.
And what do you do with a nice hill.....
Go rolling!!!
It felt really good to start getting out and adventuring around the area.
