Getting settled

Well we are here!! 

And we have been here for a little over 2 months now. 

Things are taking a little while to get used to....

Just to mention a couple of things we are adjusting to: 

1. TRAFFIC.... 

Oh the traffic... 

we can't say much more then that... 

Well maybe we can.. 

it's AWFUL!! 

These people down here just don't know how to drive!! 

Which leads to our next adjustment:

2. Politeness.... 

There isn't any... 

Not when you are driving, 

Not when you are walking up to a door behind someone while pushing a double stroller,

you'd think they'd hold it open for you but 

OOHH NO!! 

They most certainly DO NOT! 

(The most certainly did in OHIO!!)

((This might change... we shall see...))

3. The HEAT!!! 

WOWZA!! 

That is definitely going to take some getting used to!! 

Definitely!! 

Oh and putting on Sunscreen yeah... 

we need to do that A LOT more!! 

(We've gotten burnt a couple of times already!!)

4. Big City life... 

There are people EVERYWHERE!! 

SOOO MANY PEOPLE!! 

And 

SOO MANY Restaurants! 

(So many of our FAVORITE Restaurants!!) 

Which again leads to our next adjustment: 

5. Money.... 

Can we just say one word: 

EXPENSIVE!!! 

Boy, we didn't know how CHEAP we had it, no sir!! 

So we are on a STRICT budget which is SOOO hard to keep because of the 

SOOO many FAVORITE restaurants in a 5 mile radius!!

YUM!! 

6. Church..... 

Well, that is kind of the same because it's the same principles and teachings. 

But there are more people here than back in our small ward in Ohio 

and SOOO many people moving in and out, in and out, in and out... 

It's hard to figure out who to get to know if they are moving out or 

if someone has just moved in!! 

They call our ward a very "transient" ward.... uh huh!! For Sure!

We've been here for 2 months and we are ALREADY forgotten 

because there are SEVERAL other couples who have moved in since we have!

7. Space.. 

We DO NOT HAVE ANY!! 

There are still boxes all over!! 

Moving from our big house to this small apt. has been tough! 

We don't have the space to put away everything, so the boxes just sit stacked in corners! 

We miss our big house and our big yard and our privacy from neighbors and... etc!!

We miss it but IT has GOT to GO!

(Pray that our house sells! We desperately need it to sell!!)

8. Being away from Family and Friends... 

So sad!! 

We have always been SO close to family. 

Even though we have made SEVERAL trips back to Ohio 

It's still just not the same and we miss everyone SOO MUCH! 

So... as you can see we are adjusting. 

There are probably somethings that we have left off our list 

as well as some things that will pop up later on after we think we've fully adjusted!!

OF course we are still adventuring along this adventure but we have to take you back to your regularly scheduled posting because we were still getting caught up when this adventure and excitement began!! 

Yay for finally having internet and a home for our computer!!  

(We searched for a little while for a picture to add to this post but we can't seem to find any of the ones that we've taken and uploaded on this computer... 

so hopefully we can get that remedied before we get to those posts!)
