The night before we left we decided to go to Temple Square.
We made reservations at the luxurious The Roof.
Expecting the most ROMANTIC dinner ever.....
Waiting to be seated.
View from inside the restaurant.
Inside after we ate right before we were leaving.
If you are EVER considering eating at The Roof be prepared to be disappointed!
Our tips to you:
1) Call to confirm where exactly you will be sitting
(double check that where you will be sitting is not where 2 pillars are blocking your view of anything!)
2) Be open to different beverages
(They were "out" of a couple of things we wanted)
3) Don't have a conversation among yourselves about any of your disappointments
(A waiter will be eaves dropping and contact
a manager who will RUDELY come and say there is nothing they can do for you)
4)If you like Buffet style food eat somewhere cheaper!
(It was REALLY expensive to eat a meal that we could have paid 1/4 of the price for elsewhere)
5) Eat ALL the desserts until you feel like you are going to be SICK
(The buffet was disappointing but the desserts
are DIVINE!!
Besides you should get your money's worth after all everything else was NOT worth the price you paid!!)
6) Go up to the waiting area take a few pictures
and then go eat somewhere that is your favorite
(read cheaper)
AND then spend your money on a carriage ride!!
We will ultimately let you decide for yourself.
We took a couple pictures...
The first picture was taken in the waiting area/lobby.
(That is FREE)
The other pictures were taken inside the restaurant after we finished our meal
and saw an opportunity to go stand by a different table that was being cleared off.
(CHA CHING, $$$$$$, CHA CHING )
(The only difference is the time of night the pictures were taken)
After the upset we were off to make up for the disappointment and
Met this guy!!
Adam and Nella
Hubby and Wifey
You guessed it we went on a carriage ride!!
It was so nice and relaxing
Not to mention COLD but Romantic!!
We will definitely do that again!!
(The Roof.... not so much....)
Our driver was SO nice he stopped and took a picture of us!!
After our romantic evening we went off to meet Grandma Corbett!!
She was lovingly watching our boys for us and brought them to
Temple Square so we could take them around to see the lights for family night!
Playing in the water first!!
Off we go
They were bundled up REALLY warm!!
Adam and Nella
Many of you have already seen this!!
We used it for our Christmas Card and our photo on here for a while!!
We want to post it here so it will always be here when we decide to change our main photo!
