Sadly it turns out Baby C might have inherited his Mommy's ear problems!
Mommy has had ear problems her WHOLE life!
We hope that we caught Baby C's problem
early enough that we can avoid any
LONG term issues!
The morning of the Surgery at the Hospital.
(It was EARLY! Since he was only 15 months old he was the first surgery of the day!)
Happy Baby!
He has NO idea what is about to happen!
His "crib".... looks more like a SCARY cage!!
Luckily he never really spent any time in there with the side down!
Checking out his crib.
Who knew they made hospital gowns this little!!
And he is still swimming in it!
Precious Baby.
Baby and Daddy
Trying to bust out of this joint!!
Come on Dad lets go see what's over here!
Snuggley Buggley!
Watching T.V. to pass the time!
(The T.V. is the white box ----->)
Taking him away!!
The nurse came and he didn't cry so they just carried him away!
We are happy he didn't have to go inside that thing for REAL!!
Mommy did fight back the tears when they took him away!
It is hard being in a hospital with your baby for ANY reason!
Mommy and Daddy went to the waiting room
and got settled in
AND
then it was over!
The doctor came out and said he did AMAZING!!
And we could go back to see him !
It took less than a half an hour!
When we got back to him he was just SCREAMING!!
AND SCREAMING!
He did settle down once he was in his Mommy's arms.
But he was still uncomfortable until they gave him some juice!!
He was THIRSTY!!
He usually has a milky in the mornings when he wakes up
but he couldn't that day!!
He even kept looking in mommy's bag for treats
while we were waiting in the pre-op area!
After her drank his juice and calmed down they took us back to another room
to get him dressed and go home!
He soon fell asleep.
He's been pretty good ever since!!
We are still hopeful that this will help prevent any future problems by catching it so early!
Mommy is also really hyper-sensitive about his ears so we're sure we will be keeping a close eye on him!
