This Easter started off with some VERY exciting visitors!!
So the story starts out LATE Easter eve.
Our dear friends had bumped into (they showed up at their house!)
some other members who happened to be out selling security systems!
So... we having a very special place in our hearts for people working hard to make a living,
AND they are of the same faith...
we fell HOOK,
LINE,
and SINKER!
(not to mention there had been a string of burglaries in the area and the suspect was still at large!)
We felt good about it.
They signed us up and put our security system in and we were protected!
All around hmmm 11 PM!!!
You're probably wondering...
okay people...
this is nice and all but WHAT does this have to do with Easter?
Well this story explains the EXCITING visitors!!
So the next morning we wake up!
Yay!
The Easter bunny has come...
Nooooo he isn't the exciting visitor.
Sorry we got off track a little there, back to the story.
So we are setting up for Easter LATE Easter eve and we here a beep, beep...
we RUN
and shut off the alarm to the security system...
hmmm... that is interesting...
so we go about our setting up and
BEEP, BEEEP BEEEEEPP,
What the....
RUN shut it off again...
okay no problem lets go to bed.
Next morning... wake up... walk down the stairs...
BEEEEPP, BEEEEP, BEEEEEEP!!
Run shut off the alarm!!!
Go back up stairs,
to wake up the kids...
but nooo wait...
BEEEEP, BEEEEEP, BEEEEP!!
WHAT THE!?!?!?!?!?!
RUUUNN shut off the alarm!!!
Rinse and Repeat
another hmmm 3 times and
THEEEENNNN...
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!! THUMP!!
Wifey opens the door...
1...
2...
3...
4....
5...
grown men!!
Rushing past Wifey ALL through out the HOUSE!
Then a kind gentlemen comes in and says:
"Hello I'm Chief So and So from the East Palestine Fire Department!!!!!
We've been notified of a fire.... "
Wifey and Hubby...
uhhhh....
we don't know of any fire..
(1,2,3,4,5... + men come back to report... I don't smell anything, there's no sign, of a fire.. etc!)
Wifey already UPSET!
Says it's that STUPID security SYSTEM!!
Every time we walk down the dumb stairs it sets the DUMB thing off!!
Hubby then comes farther down the stairs and lovingly demonstrates!!
(completely by accident he was upstairs calming the children!)
The Chief tells us to get someone on the phone and to get someone out here to fix it!!
Yeah okay thank you SIR!
You BET WE WILL!!
So off they go.
(THANK YOU SO MUCH SERIOUSLY to all the firemen!
We are SOOO Sorry to get you UP out of BED away from your FAMILIES on EASTER MORNING!!!)
So after a phone call that went a little like:
V: Good morning Happy Easter how are you?
W: NOT TOO FREAKING
HAPPY I JUST HAD THE FIRE DEPT. IN MY HOME BECAUSE (see story above!)
V: (calmly) Oh I am so sorry for that let me see what is going on here...
W: YOU HAVE SCARRED MY KIDS FOR LIFE!!
It went back and forth like that for awhile until things were resolved.
(Wifey wanted to get rid of the hunk of JUNK but Hubby insisted on keeping it!)
So you are probably wondering about Easter now....
Yes we did get to celebrate after that whole EXCITING hoopla!!
Easter Baskets!!
The whole gang!
Dogs included!
We had our niece with us this year!
It was really nice having her here with us!
Which one is MINE!?!?
What's all this!?!?
No WAY I got a LEAPSTER!?!?
What about me!?!?
Nice.... books....
Yes we managed to calm down and celebrate after all the visitors left!
Cousins helping each other play G's new game!
More books... YAY!
Baby C wants to play too...
or is it Daddy?
Or G... ?
Now THIS is the real fun stuff!!
Enough with all those books!!
CHOO CHOO TRAINS!!
Setting up the track!
Choo, Choo!
(He still loves trains!!)
You are probably thinking WOW
You guys must have gotten up EARLY to be able to have
Visitors and Baskets and Play time
AND
get ready and go to church!!
Yup We did!
Our family outside of church!
Laughing away!
Of course the traditional trials of trying to get a picture of the two of them together!
Awwww Sooo nice!!!
or...... NOT!!!
What is he pointing at....??
(Not sure?)
Silly little boys!!
(The first one or two are actually the best we got...)
Mommy and Daddy!
Then it was OFF to Ganma and Ganpa's house!!
For yummy Easter Dinner and of course..
Easter baskets from them too!!
We love them so much!
G got his own set of trains so he can play together with C!
Egg!
Sheep!!
We love living so close to family!!
They have so much love for us and our boys!!
So that's our Easter...
we hope to have less exciting and more LOW key Easters to come!
(P.S. 2 days later we had the COPS at our house around midnight!!!....
Our lovely security system alerted them too!
You are probably thinking "Oh I would get rid of that thing so fast and request my money back"
Yeah Wifey would too BUT Hubby won and it still sits here watching over our family!
Thankfully those were the only 2 incidents and the 2nd one Hubby says it was doing it's job because the wind had blown our front door WIDE open and if it hadn't been there WHO knows what could have happened! So I suppose we should be grateful!)
