Sicklings,Snow, and Sanity

Well our full moon lasted a little longer than 3 weeks!! WAHOO! Not really. Turns out G gave us some of his yummy germs and we got sick as well!!(As well as other friends and family, we're SORRY!) It was a miserable time! This was the first time G had been sick in his whole life!! Of course he had a few ear infections due to teething but NOTHING like this. Because this was his first time, he didn't know how to deal with it, we didn't know how to deal with it, and he only wanted us! But because we had come home with a brand new baby our attention had to be divided. We don't want to go through this again. Hubby's illness ended up turning into a sinus infection, Wifey's horrible cough (which hurt her incision every time) lasted two weeks, and baby was stuffed up in his nose for several days! We had big plans to get a lot done in the time we had hubby off of work but the only thing we did was lay around cuddling and spending time with each other.
Our sickling and his very sad eyes!!!
He truly was miserable and didn't know how to tell us what he was feeling!
A blessing in disguise while we were sick, was we got snowed in!!! We have never seen so much snow!! We had a total of 19 in. from the first storm and then a couple of other storms rolled in and we didn't even bother measuring because there was a TON of snow! Hubby already had taken the time off for the baby so we didn't have to worry about him traveling to work with everything going on!! And because of the snow and sickness we were able to keep our sanity. Who wants to go out when you feel like crud or can't get out of your driveway anyways?
Our fence holding up nicely with all the snow and ice!
The snow does make the bare trees look nice!
Trying to go "play" in the snow!
Daddy even though he was sick was nice enough to adventure out with G. After the ER visit G started taking an antibiotic and recovered faster than mommy and daddy! He was cooped up and wanted to burn off some energy!! We love this picture because of Sancho Panza!!! That is his head!!! The dogs sank straight down in all the snow! It was funny watching the dogs jumping around in all the snow!! We should have got it on video, maybe next time. Mommy and baby stayed inside we didn't want to risk any more injury or illness. So with all the sickness and snow mommy didn't get out of the house for almost 4 whole weeks!!! Because of all the snow daddy shoveled out the car but not the truck so it was another week before mommy could go anywhere with the kids! On another note because of all the craziness we did not get to celebrate Valentine's day; next we will have to make up for it!! We hope you've all stayed in high spirits and kept your sanity with all that might be going on in your lives!
