The baby is here!!!

And it's a......
BOY!!!!!
Costin Everet Corbett
C was born on 1-23-10 at 8:19 am via repeat C-section.
Weighing a whopping 8lbs 9 oz and 21 in. long!!!
We are so excited!! G and C are going to be the best buds ever!!!
Proud pappa with his boys!!!
Hugs all around!! Can't you feel the love!?!?
We've told G's birth story and so we will only proceed with C's as well. Our official due date was February 3rd and we were still debating on a Vbac or a repeat C-section. We finally decided to do a repeat c-section when at 32 weeks we were told the baby was already 4.14 and then at 36 weeks we were told the baby was already in the 89 percentile for growth. So WAY above average and we still had 4 weeks to go!!! Mommy was getting pretty uncomfortable due to lack of sleep! She wasn't sleeping very well at all and if we all know mommy (she NEEDS her sleep!!) So off we went to our doctors appointment on Thursday where we decided to tell the doctor we were ready to schedule a c-section. She had 2 dates in mind the 23rd or the 28th and because we didn't know what we were having she wanted another ultrasound to make sure the baby was developed enough to be delivered. (If we knew it was a girl she would have delivered as early as 2 weeks but for boys only 7-10 days.) Of course we wanted the 23rd!! Who would want to wait another week!?! She was also going out of town between the dates she had chosen!! OUT OF TOWN!! We went and had fun seeing the baby again! Technology these days is AMAZING and seeing the baby again.... who is going to object to that!?!? After the ultrasound we had to wait until Monday to find out the answer. We walked in did the routine weight, pee in a cup, listen to heart beat, and wait for the doc. Doctor C walks in and says so we're all set up for Saturday yes? Mommy shocked said "WE ARE!!" and she said "Yes, at 8!" Mommy said "Nobody told me!?!" And the Doc said "I know! But I wanted to make sure I got you in before I left!" YAY!! Such a nice doctor! So everything must have looked good with baby!! We left and told very few people. Mommy loves the anticipation and the excitement that you get when everyone gets a phone call to say... "It's a boy!! Born at 8:19!!!" And all the surprise expressions everyone gets from being told!! So we waited in much anticipation until Saturday where we woke up at 4:30 to leave at 5:00 am to be at the hospital by 6:00am to be prepped and ready for arrival of baby at 8:00am!!! Sara mommy's good friend stayed with G at home so he could sleep and then come to the hospital later! Ganma came and followed us to the hospital to be there to hear the news right after C came and to hold the baby as soon as she could! Mommy and daddy both appreciated having her there to love, support and help distract the nerves while waiting to have the baby. They had a hard time getting an IV started in mommy (poking her 3 times before they got one!) We heard the heart beat in the background as we all talked and waited. Doctor popped her head it to say hello and then we were off! Mommy gave everyone kisses and walked to the OR, Daddy waited to be let in, and Ganma went off to the waiting room. After drinking a yucky antacid type shot mommy was nauseous and while getting set up in the OR threw up! But after that everything was fine. Daddy was let in and mommy was crying because she felt bad for throwing up so daddy started to talk to her about an upcoming trip to England (hopefully.) Then mommy said "what smells like it's burning...?" Daddy said "I don't know?" Then they said a little pressure and a gargled "WAAA!" Baby was out!! IT"S A... BOY!!! Mommy wasn't sure in all the excitement and they asked daddy if he wanted to stand up and see so he did and then sat down told mommy it was a boy and then got light headed!!! Not prepared at all to see all of mommy's insides and the baby right there! They held baby over the drape for mommy to see and he was so beautiful!!! Doctor said everything is fine and looks good and we can try for a girl in a year or two if we want!! So mommy's body heals well!!! (Which is what we were afraid of after having 2 c-sections.) Daddy got to hold C for almost 20 min right after he was born!! It was so fun and so sweet!! Then mommy had to be closed up and daddy went off to spread the wonderful news!! Off to recovery and baby was already rooting for food!!! The doctor said that if baby had been in there until our due date it would have been at least a 10lb baby!! This experience was a much different experience from G and we are happy we chose to repeat because C's head is just as big as G's when he was born! Around 14 or so for both! Sara brought G to the hospital and he was instantly so sweet with his "baby broder!" He wanted to hold him and asked "Hold 'em!, Hold 'em!" When G heard C cry for the first time he walked to the crib and said "What da matter? Fooboobood!?!?" (Which is his sweet way of asking for food!) So sweet!! We are recovering here at home with much love and support and food from dear friends and family! Mommy can't go up and down stairs much if at all so she is stuck upstairs close to the potty! The pictures displayed are the pictures that Sara emailed mommy. We haven't uploaded the pictures to the computer downstairs yet and mommy is posting from the laptop so no pictures on the laptop either! There will be many more photos to come in future posts for sure! We just wanted to let everyone know that we were blessed to have another beautiful baby boy!!! We also wanted to thank everyone for being so kind and caring through all of this! We love you all!!
