Labor Day weekend 2009

Hubby was lucky enough to get another full weekend off including MONDAY! So we were off adventuring again! What can we say we love to travel and explore the world even if we only planned it the day before! This adventure we were off to the Columbus Zoo! AWESOME!! They had meese, hubby's favorite animal is the moose and wifey has never seen one in person. Despite getting up every morning at 5 or 6 am to drive all over Yellowstone when we were there in hunt for a moose.... Nothing. It was worth the trip just to see the meese and grow closer as a family.

The tiger was G's favorite!! It was sooo close and just pacing back and forth in the window. G was hitting the window, roaring, and giggling. We watched him for a while until we had to force G to move on!

The petting zoo was awesome!! You could go in and pet all the goats, feed them, and brush them if you felt up to it. G just rotated between all the goats patting them on the back! SOO cute!

"CHOO CHOO" how can you pass up a ride on a "CHOO CHOO" when you've got G around?

There they are! The meese... do you see them... big antlers?!?!? Hubby said they were cool but NOTHING like in the wild. So maybe another adventure to somewhere to see Meese in the wild... Alaska maybe...??

OHHH the carousel, G loved the carousel, he really did very well throughout the whole zoo but he was winding down wanted to ride the carousel over and over. I think he went twice and then we tried to move on. But we passed it on the way back out of the park and he wanted to ride it again!

Feeding the birds was sooo much fun!! It started out with just one... then two....

G was AMAZED!!! He just wanted to touch and hold them.

This trip was definitely a fun one and one of the top zoo's we've been to. We will probably go back again sometime! Why not we're always up for an adventure where ever it might lead us!!
