Ken's company messed up last year after Christmas. Ken had requested a day off that the company subsequently gave everyone that particular day off. Due to Ken having it already requested off they took it out of his vacation time which left him with an extra day on the books. They approached Ken and said you need to take a company paid day off before the end of the month. Ken was not sure when to take it so he decided to take it on a Friday which would let us have a long weekend. Well as the family is always up for traveling Amanda decided she wanted to go to a temple; did not matter which one but we ended up deciding to go to Washington D.C. for the weekend. We were able to take along G and Amanda's mom came as well.

G loved the fancy glass elevators at both hotels. At the Hyatt the glass elevator does a Charlie and the Chocolate factory explosion through the ceiling to get to the pool which is on the roof!!
